Pinnacle Airlines operates over 124 Canadair CRJ 200 Jet Aircraft for Northwest Airlines - now part of Delta - as “Northwest Airlink” and operates 16 Canadair CRJ 900 Jet Aircraft for Delta Airlines as “Delta Connection”. With close to 800 flights per day, Pinnacle Airlines operates more than 30% of all Northwest Airlines flights throughout the USA and Canada and operates a growing number of flights for Delta Airlines to destinations in the USA, Canada and the Caribbean with options for more aircraft.

Despite safely transporting tens of thousands of passengers per day, Pinnacle Airlines pilots are amongst the lowest paid airline pilots in the nation. First Officers are only guaranteed a pre-tax salary of $18,657 during their first year of employment. Over 40% of the 1300+ professional pilots flying for Pinnacle Airlines make less than $30,000 per year. Please visit our negotiations page to learn more.

Contract negotiations between Pinnacle Airlines management and Pinnacle Airlines pilots represented by the Air Line Pilots Association have taken place for over three years yielding no significant progress. Pinnacle Airlines management has refused to earnestly negotiate a labor contract that would fairly compensate its pilots and provide for job security.

In December 2007, the pilots of Pinnacle Airlines voted to authorize a legal strike by an overwhelming 99% majority. The Railway Labor Act provides for procedures to be followed before a legal strike can occur, including being released by the National Mediation Board. Although the pilots of Pinnacle Airlines sincerely desire an amicable outcome that benefits all interested parties, the pilots have clearly voiced their solidarity and stand ready to engage in all legal means necessary to achieve a fair contract.
